4-Methyl-N3-[4-(3-pyridyl)-2-thiazolyl]-1,3-phenylenediamine dihydrochloride is a compound with the chemical formula C15H16N6S · 2HCl, which has the following properties:

2. melting point: about 234-238 ℃.
3. Solubility: Soluble in water and alcohol, slightly soluble in ether and chloroform.
4. Stability: Stable at room temperature, but easy to decompose under light and heat conditions.

The compound can be obtained by the following preparation method:

1.4-(3-pyridyl)-1,3-phenylenediamine was obtained by reacting 4-methyl -1,3-phenylenediamine with 3-pyridinecarboxaldehyde;
2. reacting 4-(3-pyridyl)-1,3-phenylenediamine with 2-chlorothiazole to give 4-(3-pyridyl)-2-thiazolyl)-1,3-phenylenediamine;
3. reacting 4-(3-pyridyl)-2-thiazolyl)-1,3-phenylenediamine with nitrous acid to give N3-[4-(3-pyridyl)-2-thiazolyl]-1,3-phenylenediamine;
4. N3-[4-(3-pyridyl)-2-thiazolyl]-1,3-phenylenediamine is reacted with hydrochloric acid to give 4-methyl-N3-[4-(3-pyridyl)-2-thiazolyl]-1,3-phenylenediamine dihydrochloride.
